Celebration Grant
The Celebration Grant offers local non-profits and primary/secondary institutions of learning the opportunity to be a part of the Houston LGBT Pride Festival free of charge. Inclusion into the Pride Festival will consist of one (1) 10×10 tented exhibitor space. Celebration inclusion is for the chosen Grant recipient and is non-transferrable. Up to three (3) separate organizations could be awarded this Celebration Grant based on the documents provided. The Celebration Grant does not apply to Parade entries for local non-profits but may be granted to primary/secondary schools. Rates to participate in the Parade are significantly lower for local non-profits than rates for other contingents.
The Celebration Grant will be open only to 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations and primary/secondary schools that are based in Greater Houston and its surrounding areas (excluding Galveston) whose mission is in line with that of Pride Houston and who offer services to the Houston LGBTQIA+ Community in the following area(s):
- Youth/Senior Programs
- Anti-Bullying Programs
- Housing/Homeless Programs
- Animal welfare
- HIV/AIDS-Related programs
- Medical Awareness Programs
- LGBTQIA Cultural/History Programs
If awarded a Celebration Grant, the Grantee Organization must agree to commit a minimum of five (5) volunteers for a minimum of a four (4) hour shift (or less if applicable) for each volunteer for a Pride Event scheduled throughout the year that will be designated by Pride Houston. All volunteer commitments for a Grantee must be completed no less than one (1) calendar day prior to the Houston LGBT Pride Celebration.
Organizations interested in submitting a request for a Celebration Grant should be prepared to provide the following:
- Summary of Organization and its services
- Mission and/or Vision
- Proof of 501(c)(3) Not-for-profit status
- Recent Financial Statements/990 IRS Form
ALL CELEBRATION GRANT REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY SUNDAY, April 30, 2022 BY 11:59PM CST.
