In my first column I promised that I would write & post every Sunday, regardless of what was going on in my life. Well, my life is kinda falling apart. My oldest cat, who is 14 years 10 months, is dying. The vet said he would live maybe a month. I started out this week sick with a 102.4 fever and ended it hoping Whistler would just eat something. Yeah, this has not been a good week.
Here’s what this means in my weight-loss/getting healthy journey: I’m not really thinking about it. My worst fear is that Whistler will die without me being there. He has meant the world to me and I want him to know that as he leaves this world. Currently, I cannot wrap my head around spending 2 -3 hours at the gym when that is time I can spend with him. Additionally, my food consumption is not really stable right now. Mostly, I’m having a hard time eating anything. When I am in the mood to eat I don’t really want to care about calories. Finally, I’m not going to get on the scale for awhile. There’s only so much I can handle.
I will hold to my promise to post. I will get back on track. Currently, my cat is my priority.
