Honestly, I thought by this point I would have dropped around 20 pounds and be feeling pretty good. Then April happened and, well the “almost-losing-weight-but-not-quite” cycle continues. Last Monday I hit the gym and ate healthy. I woke up Tuesday feeling a little off. By noon my blood pressure had dropped to 82/60 and I damn near passed out in a room full of people whom I was telling how fine I was. My school nurse recommended I go to a doctor and, since she knew I would not, told me once the headache was gone to wait a full week before engaging in any physical activity, which I almost did. Also, she said I had to eat, something I have not been doing consistently since Whistler went on the down side. Long story short, all I’ve done in the last week is play a little softball, and by little I mean not really.
I am so ridiculously frustrated at this point I cannot begin to express the depth of it. Even being on the softball field, I know my body isn’t responding as I’d like it to. This is what happens to me when I try to get healthy, though admittedly I’m getting it in spades this time around. I’m ready to quit and go for mu-mu fittings, (I’m thinking a nice flame pattern would rock!). Some of my friends have gotten on the healthy bandwagon and they are doing great! I am thrilled for them. My own body seems to be stuck in the 140s. 139 is my wall and my life is the mud pit keeping me stuck and unable to climb it. Considering I’m going to a softball tournament in Austin this weekend, I’m going to follow the advice given me so I don’t face-plant in the batter’s box (though that could be funny). Come next Monday, it’s on. And if my body and/or life fights me on this, could you recommend a good mu-mu tailor?
